I think that Dr. Raja is an excellent, excellent surgeon with precision hand skills. I know the intricacies of the human eye — being a cardiovascular surgeon myself — so his tactile manual dexterity is bar none. I am very glad and grateful that he did my operation. He is an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Raja. Compassionate, understanding, thorough — overall an amazing ophthalmologist. I had been wearing corrective glasses close to 20 years. I was near-sighted with astigmatism. I had always wanted LASIK but I was always so scared. Dr. Raja made me feel very comfortable and explained the entire procedure from beginning to end. By the following day after LASIK I was seeing 20/20 in both eyes. Dr. Raja changed my life.

I recently had EVO ICL surgery with Dr. Harish Raja and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I was not a candidate for LASIK because my corneas were too thin, so EVO ICL was a great option for me. Everything went well, and the entire team made me feel comfortable from beginning to end. Dr. Raja was very knowledgeable, professional, and reassuring throughout the whole process. The surgery coordinator Suyapa was also amazing! She was so kind, and helpful, and made the entire process feel smooth and stress free. For anyone who is not a LASIK candidate or is thinking about EVO ICL, I would highly recommend Dr. Harish Raja and his team!

Dr. Raja is the best! A brilliant doctor who lets his patients know exactly what is going on in words we can understand. A wonderful surgeon also. Dr. Raja performed my cataract surgery. This was the best surgery I ever had and a complete success. We were lucky to have him in Massachusetts for a while. If I ever need eye surgery again I would fly to Florida.

I recently had LASIK surgery performed by Dr. Raja and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the post-op visits, the entire experience was exceptional. Dr. Raja took the time to explain every step of the process, answered all my questions, and made me feel completely at ease. The surgery itself was quick and painless, and my vision is now better than I ever imagined. I highly recommend Dr. Raja to anyone considering LASIK — truly life-changing!

Dr. Raja is excellent! My cataract surgery was perfect. I had no pain after the surgery, no burning, and only the slightest redness. Today my vision is incredible, better than I've ever seen before. He is also very special in his treatment and care of patients, and he demonstrates the utmost professionalism as a doctor to ensure an excellent result. Thank you.

A diagnosis, not a pitch

Four ways out of glasses. Your eyes pick which.

Dr. Raja performs all four himself. So your recommendation fits your eyes, not whatever the clinic happens to sell.

FAQs

Asked before almost every consult.

Which procedure is right for me?

That’s exactly what the consult answers. Age, prescription, corneal thickness, and how you use your eyes all factor in. Because Dr. Raja performs all four procedures himself, the recommendation fits your eyes, not a clinic’s specialty.

Is the consult really free, and is it with Dr. Raja?

Yes — it’s free, and Dr. Raja examines you, decides your candidacy, and performs your surgery himself. Friday evaluations are with him directly. Can’t make a Friday? Our trusted optometric team can get your evaluation started sooner, any day of the week — and Dr. Raja still sees you himself before any decision. Either way, you leave with a clear answer and, if you’re a candidate, your full price in writing.

What if I’m not a candidate?

Then you’ll hear it directly, with the reason why. “No” is a real answer at this practice — Dr. Raja still wears glasses himself, on purpose.

What does surgery cost?

It depends on the procedure and lens that fit your eyes. You get one number, in writing, at the consult — with financing and FSA/HSA options, and no pressure to decide in the room.

Where and when?

Evaluations with Dr. Raja are every Friday at the South Miami office (5858 SW 68 St). Want to be seen sooner? Our optometric team can start your evaluation any day of the week, with Dr. Raja reviewing your case and seeing you himself. Surgery happens at the Center for Eye Surgery, MedEye’s purpose-built ophthalmic surgical center.
